After you have arranged the map to show the desired map size, scale and layers that you selected in the Map Content and Legend window, you can save those map settings as a personal profile. After saving the profile, you can retrieve it at a later time and display that same map again.Layers that you save in profiles are not limited to only the layers in the map you are viewing. If the map administrator has made layers from other maps available for profiles, you can select those layers and include them in your profile. As different maps often show different data for the same area, this allows you to include additional information that is not normally part of a map in your profile.
If you create a profile without logging in to the map viewer first, the profile is available only on the browser application used to create it, and it is saved using a cookie written to your computer. If you delete this cookie, your profile will no longer be available.
