Pictometry base maps are collections of images stitched together in a tiled fashion with considerable overlap between images. On a Pictometry map you have the option of navigating through image tiles. Select the Smart Navigator tool to view the image tiles to which you have access and select the image you want to display.

Select the Tools menu and click the Smart Navigator tool.

The Smart Navigator dialog box appears displaying 9 image tiles, with the currently displayed image tile outlined in black. In , notice the center tile is selected.

Select the image tile you want to display in the map viewer. If you select one of the outer images, Pictometry pans in that direction, recentering the Smart Navigator on the image tile you selected and displaying several new images on the outer edge of the Smart Navigator dialog box.
