A tool that enables you to generate a link to the currently displayed map, which can then be sent by e-mail.

geographical coordinate system

A coordinate system that uses a three-dimensional spherical coordinate system to locate points on the Earth using latitude and longitude coordinates.

geoprocessing

The automated manipulation or analysis of geographic data. Geoprocessing tasks are created beforehand to evaluate or analyze data in a certain manner. When users select the task, they enter the criteria they want to be used in the analysis. The task automatically performs the analysis and the data is displayed in the format that is either set up by the creator of the task or by the user. See also task.

GeoRSS feeds

Web feeds from the Internet that show data and provide an associated location for that information on the map. An example of a geoRSS feed are weather forecasts that display symbols on the map for that location.
